Oscar Pena has over 20 years of experience with expertise in management, marketing and production in the entertainment industry. In the mid 90’s he managed collaborations between the rap duo Rawcotiks, DJ Premier, The Beatnuts, and others. By 2000 he was working with Hot 97’s Funk Flex at Franchise Marketing. In 2004, he consulted on the Billboard hit “Oye Mi Canto,” a duet between platinum-selling rap artist N.O.R.E. and Reggaeton A-lister Daddy Yankee. By 2005 Oscar joined The Fuerte Group, a full service company dedicated to the young Urban Latino market owned by music executives Rich Isaacson (Loud Records) & Jerry Blair (Sony Music). He then went on to operate a joint venture record label at Universal Latino.
In 2008 Oscar became the VP of Marketing for Foxy Films and their $15 million dollar feature “Days of Wrath” starring Jeffry Dean Morgan, Wilmer Valderrama and Lawrence Fishburne. He then produced multiple independent projects throughout the years sharpening his skills. By 2014 Oscar became a producer on National Geographic’s Drugs Inc season 6 & spin off Underworld Inc. In 2015 he was appointed VP of Development at Joule Ent a production company at the Kaufman Astoria Studio in Queens. Oscar was a Co-producer on the feature film “Hold On” staring Luis Guzman, Maurice Bernard, Micayla De Ette and Tarek Tohme released theatrically in December 2019.
Oscar has now launched Super O Mgmt. officially opening doors to the masses. He’s also teamed up to consult long time friend DJ Lobo with his record label Matatan Muxic. In July 2020, mid Covid-19 pandemic they released the “Drogba” Global Latin remix featuring Afro B & Ozuna instantly generating millions of streams and views rising to #1 internationally. Recently Oscar has signed Puerto Rican producer Lil’ Wizard know for producing hits for artists such as Maluma, Farruko, Archangel, Cosculluela, Jon Z and many more.
